Until We All Come Home A Harrowing Journey a Mother Courage a Race to Freedom edition by Kim de Blecourt Religion Spirituality eBooks
Kim de Blecourt's book encourages a follower of Jesus Christ who is called to a challenging season of service. I read her family's story while personally facing such a season. UNTIL WE ALL COME HOME consistently describes how Kim persevered because of a deepening trust in the Lord of her life. Each account reminds that the amazing grace of God can enable our perseverance. As a pastor-teacher in today's culture, I highly recommend this book to any who may be questioning if the call to a divine purpose can be accomplished. Like the Apostle Paul, Kim boldly proclaims the truth of God's promise, "My grace is sufficient for you" (2 Corinthians 12:9, NIV),

Until We All Come Home A Harrowing Journey a Mother Courage a Race to Freedom edition by Kim de Blecourt Religion Spirituality eBooks Reviews
This brave story is not easy to get through--sometimes it hurts--but it's well worth reading. I was glad to know that as I read through the very hard parts that seemed to go on and on. I was glad to know from the very beginning that it does come out OK.
We read Until We All Come Home aloud with our kids. We were amazed at all the difficulties Kim faced but even more amazed to see how God showed up to protect and guide her. One thing that really impacted me personally was Kim's authenticity in her struggles. Her situation may sound like it came out of some Soviet spy novel, but she was a real person living through intense emotions. As I face struggles of my own, seeing how "God showed up" in her story gives me encouragement that He has a plan in my story as well.
Wow! It boggles the mind what this poor woman went through. Refreshing to see her love for and commitment to the little boy she wanted to adopt. And despite what she went through she never lost faith in God. And God never let her down. So glad she shared her story.
Yes, it was a harrowing experience and so unfortunate. Maybe know one will ever be able to explain why she experienced so many setbacks. Certainly there was Spiritual Warfare. If everyone had the same experience there would probably be fewer kids adopted so I’m thankful her experience seems to exceptional.
This is a harrowing journey told clearly with determination and love. When Kim deBlecourt's family chose to pursue international adoption they had no way of knowing that it was to become the gut-wrenching quest that would separate them for over a year, and test their conviction so completely. One little boy caught in the broken Ukrainian orphan system was the center of the storm. A host of shady and incompetent bureaucrats would have forever kept him from becoming part of a family. I was amazed by the way God worked through impossible sets of situations and in the heart and life of Kim deBlecourt to bring about His victory.
Bravo Kim! As I read your book I relived the days and nights Ilse and I spent with you and your children in Ukraine. Your courage, perserverance and your faith in God are inspirational to both of us. All of the cultural complexity, emotion, tension, intrigue and evil were presented in clear, straightforward prose. Few readers will completey understand the oddities and unfairness of the legal system you challenged and defeated to become Jake's mother.
Your's is truly a story of a Mother's love with God's guidance that saved little Jake from a terrible orphaned life. I feel truly blessed and am grateful for your friendship. May God continue to bless you, Jake, Jacey and Jahn. Each time I reread your book my mind will return to Ukraine and to our Peace Corps experiences which were greatly enriched by sharing this noble journey with you. Nice job in Ukraine and on the book. Congrats. Carl
Buy this book for your friend who is considering adoption, foster care, or even adoption advocacy. God's calling to adoption is for all believers!!! And so forth, this is a must read for any believer who truly wants to be inspired to do as James 127 says "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for the orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you.". Kim de Blecourt is a real person and portrays even the nitty-gritty on adoption. Adoption is a beautiful, God-given desire but it comes with great sacrifices and great cost as it would for any rescue mission. This book is incredibly thrilling. You will not be able to put it down!!!
Kim de Blecourt is also an amazing author and speaker. This book is a reflection of her loving heart. She understands that just because we face difficulties, we must follow through in obedience to what God has asked us to do. If she comes and speaks to your church/organization, you will be highly motivated and moved to also rescue the 1.4 million children awaiting a family worldwide.
Please consider buying this book for your family and friends - you will not be disappointed and all of her author proceeds go to help feed orphans through Food for Orphans. [...]
You will be blessed with this book and in the meantime, bless others!
